Our short film Cinema Olanda, directed by Wendelien van Oldenborgh, produced by Sophie Ahrens & Fabian Altenried, will be part of Berlinale Forum Expanded.
The screenings will take place on Monday, February 19th, 4:30pm at Akademie der Künste and on Friday, February 23rd, 8:30pm at Kino Arsenal 1.

1000 Smiles Per Hour returns to the United Kingdom for the Two Short Nights Film Festival. The screening will take place at Exeter Phoenix on the 30th of November at 7pm.

We are thrilled to celebrate the European Premiere of No Longer Our Homeland at FilmFestival Cottbus and at Zielonogórski Festiwal Filmu i Teatru. Screening dates are the 10th and 11th in Cottbus and the 10th in Zielona Gora.

1000 Smiles Per Hour will be part of the 23rd Sarajevo Film Festival in the European Shorts competition and will be screened on the 14th of August at 6pm.

We released the first offical teaser for The Silent Revolution, a documentary in development written and directed by Kristof Gerega. Watch the teaser here

We celebrate the world premiere of Cinema Olanda and the Italian premiere of Prologue: Squat / Anti-Squat in the Dutch Pavilion of the 57th International Art Exhibition La Biennale di Venezia. We produced both films. They are directed by Dutch artist Wendelien van Oldenborgh. The exhibition opens on the 13th of May.

Schuldenberg Films is an independent film production company based in Berlin.
In 2013, on the initiative of Fabian Altenried and Kristof Gerega, Schuldenberg Films grew out of the collective Schuldenberg Foundation. In 2016, Sophie Ahrens joined S·B·F as a lead producer and in 2017 the company was officially founded.
S·B·F focuses on the production of genre-bending fictional and non-fictional films with a critical and political approach, spanning from feature films and documentaries to experimental art works.
S·B·F still operates in collective structures with producers and other filmmakers participating permanently or temporarily according to the specific needs of the productions.

Sophie Ahrens

Documentary and fiction film producer. Sophie grew up in England and Germany. She has a B.A. degree in Applied Media Economics focusing on TV Production and is currently finishing her M.A. course in Film and TV Production at the Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF. Her professional interests are advertising, international art house productions, documentaries and art films. Her personal interest are in developing artistic storytelling, redefining the boundaries of genre conventions and creating films that explore cultures and the motivations of human action.

Kristof Gerega

Filmmaker, author, producer and actor who grew up in Poland and Germany. After his degree in drama at the Bern University of the Arts he worked in film, television and theatre and studied philosophy, sociology and ethnology at the Humboldt University Berlin.
He is particularly interested in construction of history, diversity of commemorative culture, in contemporary political structures as well as historico-anthropological phenomena of human kind.
In his work he focuses especially on documentary forms and their possibilities within transdisciplinarity.
